Surge Trap Brochure for new Irish electrical code.
The new Mersen surge protection brochure for Ireland has been specifically created to assist customers in Ireland select SPD’s since the introduction of the new electrical code - I.S.10101.
The new Irish National Rules for Electrical Installations opens the need for installing surge protection devices (SPD) in a very broad spectrum from public, commercial or industrial activities, even consumer unit applications depending on the circumstances.
Introduced 6th March 2020 and effective from 1st April 2020, the new standards demand a significant change in the surge protection requirements in the Republic of Ireland.
